If the querent is asking about their current financial situation and whether it will improve, the Page of Pentacles says they are being asked to learn something they have been avoiding. The improvement is gated behind a skill gap. Maybe they need to learn to budget, or read a contract, or understand what their labor is worth in a different market. The card does not promise the improvement. It names the condition for the improvement. The querent who hears "yes, things will get better" without hearing "only if you do the learning" will stay stuck.

The tell is when someone reads the Page of Pentacles and then waits. They treat it like a green light and expect the opportunity to arrive fully formed, requiring no additional competence on their part.
