Sun in Leo is the structural answer. Moon in Capricorn handles the emotional register of a person's daily interactions, and in Capricorn the Moon is not warm in the conventional sense. Capricorn Moon keeps feeling at a functional distance — not because the feeling isn't there, but because Capricorn treats emotional expression as something that needs to earn its place. In a professional context this reads as demanding, unsentimental, and occasionally cold. Minsky was known for cutting through bad ideas without softening the cut. That is Moon in Capricorn doing exactly what it does: it applies the same efficiency standard to interpersonal exchange that it applies to everything else. The Libra Rising adds a layer of social legibility — he could be charming when the situation called for it — but the Moon underneath set the actual temperature of the room.

This is Mars in Virgo operating as the default mode. Venus in Virgo is the placement that governs what Minsky valued in close relationships, and it is a demanding placement in that context. Venus in Virgo routes affection through acts of service and intellectual respect — it shows care by being useful, by noticing what needs fixing, by taking the other person's problems seriously enough to think about them. What it does not do naturally is offer warmth as its own category. The Moon in Capricorn compounds this: emotional needs are acknowledged but not performed. The Libra Rising means he could present as socially graceful and genuinely interested in others, which is true — Libra Rising reads the room well.
